content The seminar “Tradition Today” focuses on the definition and role of “the classical tradition” in contemporary architecture in the Netherlands. In the nineteenth century, Dutch architecture was characterised by a bold classical - or Beaux-Arts - tradition, which slipped into the background during the emergence of modernism.
